The AntiWar Committee, Minnesotans Against Islamophobia and Women Against Military Madness’ Middle East Committee will hold a rally at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the U.S. Federal Building, 300 South 4th Street, Minneapolis.
The rally is in support the Somali youth Mohamed Farah, Abdirahman Daud and Guled Omar, and their families on the day the three will be sentenced in U.S. Federal Court. The three were convicted for being a part of a plot to travel to Syria to join terrorist forces, Supporters feel the three were pressured to plead guilty to the charges rather than face a jury at a time of Islamaphobia.
Speakers include Bruce Nestor, Abdirahman Daud’s attorney and Jess Sundin from AntiWar Committee. The speakers will address issues related to this extremely dangerous political time for Muslims, and will denounce threats against them and the call to bar Muslims from entering the United States.
