MINNEAPOLIS — The University of Minnesota “China Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections” will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at Humphrey School of Public Affairs Atrium and Cowles Auditorium, 301 19th Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN, 55455.

The event is organized by the National Committee on U.S. – China Relations and locally hosted by the University of Minnesota China Center. It is a national day of programming designed to provide Americans in more than 70 cities across the United States and beyond the opportunity to discuss Sino-U.S. issues.

This year’s program will feature a live webcast with Dr. Henry Kissinger, former National Security Advisor (1969-1975) and Secretary of State, as well as on-site speaker Professor Mark Sidel from the University of Wisconsin-Madison who will present on the topic “Civil Society and the State in China: The Role of Foreign and Domestic Groups and the Chinese Government’s Policies.”
