MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 5, 2016) — Katha Dance Theatre will perform Sufiana – The Sufi Ecstasy Sept. 16-18 at The Cowles Center, 528 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55403.
Sufiana – The Sufi Ecstasy is described as an uplifting experience, completely unique and ecstatically alive. Joined by an ensemble of esteemed musicians including, Dr. A. Pavan (Tabla drums); Greg Harriges (Guitar), Vinod Krishnan (Keyboard), Pankaj Mishra (Sarangi) and Abhinav Sharma (Percussion), Sufiana – The Sufi Ecstasy also features KDT Company dancers: Sarika Haris, Priyanka Jain, Rupa Nair, Nivedita Sahni, Mukta Sathe, Anurag Sharma, Monica Singh, Asha Sharma and Rita Mustaphi.
The Cowles Center to present Sufiana – The Sufi Ecstasy featuring Katha Dance Theatre, as part of their 2016-2017 season. Featuring Live Music composed by 2016 McKnight Fellow Dr. Pooja Goswami Pavan and choreography by KDT’s Founder/Artistic Director Rita Mustaphi.
