MINNEAPOLIS — Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein will participate in a community conversation hosted by Neighborhoods Organizing for Change on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at the historic Capri Theater, 2027 West Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

The NOC forum will be geared towards discussing issues impacting black communities across the country and in Minnesota – where the poverty rate is six times higher for black families than their white counterparts.

“With the underrepresentation of candidates of color in this presidential race – with the exception of Jill Stein’s running mate Ajamu Baraka – and the economic, social, and environmental disparities facing black Minnesotans and Americans across the country we, as Greens, wholeheartedly welcome this discussion on these important issues that NOC continues to highlight,” said Brandon Long, chair of the Green Party of Minnesota.

Tickets are free but space is limited. Advance tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the office of Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, 1101 W Broadway, starting 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15. Livestreaming satellite locations will be available for those who are not able to attend in person.
