
Kailua-Kona, HI (Aug. 12 2016) — On Hawai`i Island Thursday U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-2) recognized National Museum Week by touring the historic grounds of Hulihe`e Palace in Kailua-Kona. Once a summer vacation home for Hawaiian royalty, today Hulihe‘e Palace is a museum showcasing artifacts from the era of King Kalākaua and Queen Kapi‘olani. The Palace is one of three restored Palaces where Hawaiian royalty once lived, and which today serve as historical museums.
