MINNEAPOLIS (May 26, 2016) — War Is A Lie, a talk given by David Swanson, an author, activist, journalist and radio host will take place 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Macalester Plymouth Church Social Hall, 1658 Lincoln, St. Paul, Minn.
The event hosted by the End War Committee of Women Against Military Madness and Minneapolis-St. Paul Veterans for Peace, Chapter 27 starts with a potluck at 6 p.m. followed by the presentation at 6:30 p.m.
Swanson’s books include When the World Outlawed War, and War No More: The Case for Abolition. He serves as director of World Beyond War, and host of Talk Nation Radio. He blogs at DavidSwanson.org, and WarIsACrime.org. Swanson was a 2015 and 2016 Nobel Peace nominee, and was instrumental in exposing the Downing Street Minutes and other evidence of war lies.
Swanson is on a national book tour to discuss and answer questions about his recently published 2nd edition of War Is A Lie. His first edition had a huge impact in 2010 and was published in the United States, Europe, and China. His book is a thorough refutation of every major argument used to justify wars, drawing on evidence from numerous past wars, with a focus on those that have been defended as just and good.
