Also, in response to the artist survey conducted in February, the Jerome Foundation is establishing an annual deadline of Sept. 1 for the New York City Film, Video and Digital Production Grant Program.
In transitioning from a previous rolling deadline system to a fixed annual deadline, the Foundation will conduct two review panels in 2016. Applications submitted since Feb. 1 but before June 1, 2016, will be reviewed by a panel in late summer. Applicants will be notified of decisions no later than Oct. 1, 2016.
Applications submitted between June 1 and Sept. 1, 2016, will be reviewed by a panel in November or December. Applicants will be notified of decisions no later than Dec. 31, 2016.
In 2017, there will be only one annual deadline and one panel review. Applications will be due on Sept. 1, 2017 for consideration in the New York City Film, Video, and Digital Production Grant Program, with a Dec. 31, 2017, notification schedule. After the 2017 program, the Foundation will assess the impact of a fixed annual deadline and make adjustments, if necessary.
