Authors Narate Keys, “The Changes…Immigration Footprints of our Journey, ” and Peuo Tuy, Khmer Girl,” present their first book signing event for The Art of Healing Book Tour 2016, a fun and thought-provoking event exploring healing through spoken word, poetry, yoga, open mic, and Q&A period.

The book tour will be running from April through September in Minnesota, New York, Illinois, northern and southern California, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Washington state.  The events will include book signings, featured poetry readings and spoken word performances, and writing and self-empowerment workshops.

Both believe young Cambodians and other oppressed people should voice their identities and experiences as children of immigrant parents affected by war, genocide, and oppression. Other artists and communities are invited to help explore these questions: How do we process intergenerational trauma? How do we negotiate our identities in this ever-changing world? How have we overcome adversity? The poets hope to make a positive impact in the communities they visit by promoting storytelling.

RSVP [email protected] to sign up for the open mic list. Space is limited.
