The Minneapolis City Hall tower bells will play Prince songs in tribute to the Minneapolis music legend. The bells will play “Kiss,” “1999,” “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “When You Were Mine.”
The music will run from 1 to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 24 from outside of Minneapolis City Hall, 350 S. Fifth Street. The bells can be heard over a large area of downtown. Good listening spots are the Federal Courthouse and Hennepin County Government Center plazas.
The occasion is to remember the late performer, Prince, 57, who passed away at his Chanhassen home sometime between Thursday and Friday.
