(March 30, 2016) — Saint Mary’s University — Twin Cities campus, will welcome a former ambassador to China to speak at its 2016 Hendrickson Forum on Global Leadership from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  Wednesday, April 20, 2016,  at Saint Mary’s University Center, 2540 Park Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404.

John Huntsman, the former United States Ambassador to China is the keynote speaker on the topic, “Global Leadership: Our Future with China.” The U.S. China Business Connections in Edina, Minn., calls this a unique opportunity to hear a leader in U.S. – China relations.

Huntsman served as the U.S. Ambassador to China from 2009 to 2011. He served as Governor of Utah from 2005 to 2009 and was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Singapore by President George H.W. Bush in 1992, prior to being appointed Ambassador to China by President Barack Obama in 2009.

Hunstman is currently the co-chair of the Intellectual Property Commission where he is at the forefront of developing robust solutions to mitigate the damage of cyber attacks and reduce the theft of intellectual property. Huntsman will share his insights on today’s China headlines – from China and the economy to business abroad, cyber security and intellectual property protection.
