Minnesota Asian/American Health Coalition announces the release of its Minnesota Community Blueprint to AAPI Health Equity. MA/AHC invites the public to the Blueprint release on December 17, 2010 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Centre for Asian Pacific Islanders (CAPI) building, 3702 E. Lake Street, Minneapolis.
“This Blueprint takes the past decade’s recommendations and issues identified by Minnesota’s Asian and Pacific Islander community at numerous community gatherings and research initiatives, and, with the leadership of the Blueprint Advisory Committee, the Blueprint identifies recommendations under four core health equity areas by which Minnesota can optimize the health of its AAPI community,” states Nancy Pomplin, executive director, MA/AHC.
A preview of the Blueprint Indicators Project, the next phase of the Blueprint that identifies indicators with which the Blueprint recommendations can be measured, will be given by Joseph Pham, an MA/AHC Graduate Research Assistant.
Pham has been working with MA/AHC and Advisory members to develop the Blueprint Indicators and will share the process he has taken, what he’s found so far, and where there is opportunity for future work.
