There are many champion table tennis players in the Twin Cities, and many of them are Chinese nationals working in the area. They gather once a year for an official tournament. The 12th Minnesota Hai Hwa Table Tennis Tournament will be held Sunday Sept. 12, 2010, starting 1:00 p.m. at the Capitol City Adventist Christian School, 1220 McKnight Road South, Maplewood, Minnesota 55119.

The tournament begins with group round robin matches. The second round is a single elimination match. The finalists continue with 11 point, best of 5 matches, followed by the finals. Trophy awards will be presented for the top three in each category.

There is space remaining for 32 men’s and women’s singles registrants and nine open doubles teams. There is a $6.00 Registration Fee. The registration deadline is noon Wednesday, September 8, 2010. No walk-ins will be accepted.

This is an official tournament and all players’ scores will be registered on Ratingscentral.com afterward. The Tournament Operations Committee Members include: Zhongshu Tan, Paul Wang, Lii-Perng Liou, Simon Fan and Biing-Huei Su.
