Bhutan Night, “Honoring the Past and Celebrating the Future” will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the International Institute of Minnesota, 1694 Como Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55108.

The event is meant to welcome the newest refuge group to Minnesota, the Bhutanese, who have come to the United States after ethnic cleansing in Bhutan forced them to flee to neighboring countries. The community has flourished in Minnesota with many recent arrivals from Refugee camps in Nepal.

The featured guest speaker is Vic Rosenthal, executive director, Jewish Community Action in St. Paul.

This event is proudly sponsored by Nirvana Center Minnesota and includes refreshments, a dance performance and silent auction.
