The 7th annual All Asian Open Soccer Tournament will be held Saturday, July 17, from 8:00 a.m. until concluded in late afternoon or early evening – at the Gene C Kelly Playfields, 185 E. 102nd Street, Bloomington, MN.
There are 12 teams so far this year, representing Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian and Karen communities. The teams start gathering at 8:00 a.m. and are suited up and ready for team photos at 8:30 a.m. and the first games begin at 9:00 a.m. There will be prizes and trophies for the top three teams.
The first place team will get a complete set of team uniforms in the style of the United States National Soccer Team. The second place team will receive two World Cup soccer balls (valued at $150 each). The third place team will get on soccer ball. All three top teams will receive a bottle of champagne.
