U.S. – China Business Connections will hold its next Networking and Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Minneapolis Community & Technical College, 1415 Hennepin Avenue.

The topic of this month’s event will be “The Politics of China’s Power.” The special guest speaker will be Ron Bosrock, founder and director of the Global Institute, who is a frequent guest columnist for the StarTribune for his expertise on international business.

Bosrock will talk about China as a world power, a world economic power and a military power; and of how that affects the rest of Asia and the world and what that means for Minnesota and the United States in terms of opportunities, actions and other activity.

Networking and breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. with the presentation followed by time to ask questions from 8:40 to 9:30 a.m.

There is a $20 non-member fee. Students may attend free of charge. There is free parking at the MCTC Ramp across from the school. Enter at the left gate by the security window and tell the staff person you are with the China Group.
