Arts & Cultural Heritage Series 2010 presents the “Here” Book Release & Signing, Saturday, April 17, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Intermedia Arts, 2822 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
“Here” is the first portrait book of Korean Adoptees living in Minnesota and is a beautiful unfolding and telling of the stories of adopted Minnesotans from Korea through vivid photographs and oral history excerpts. This book is recognition for them to see themselves represented, acknowledged, and celebrated. The book begins with an introduction to the project and history of Korean adoption in Minnesota.
Book creators scheduled to be present art Kim Jackson, photographer; Heewon Lee; graphic designer; Jae Ran Kim, writer; and Kim Park Nelson, oral historian.
This event is funded with money from the arts and cultural heritage fund that was created by a vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
