The Saint Paul Civic Symphony and ArtStart present their free annual Children’s Concert on Sunday, March 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center, 179 Robie Street in St. Paul.
Pre Concert Art Activities will begin at 2:00 p.m. with ArtStart Artists. Children can create Oaxacan animal headpieces and costumes, learn fun dance moves to the music and make musical instruments to use in the concert.
The Saint Paul Civic Symphony will begin performing “Live-and so do YOU” at 3:00 p.m.
Children will parade into the concert hall with your artwork to the Radetzy March by Johann Strauss then the symphony will play Norwegian Dances by Edvard Grieg, Farandole by Georges Bizet, Hungarian Dance #5 by Johannes Brahms and The Dream Carver-A Oaxacan Tale-narrated by Armando Gutierrez that was Written by Diana Cohn and Illustrated by Amy Cordova that was set to music by composer Jan Gilbert.
