The League of Women Voters of Saint Paul invite interested public to its Monthly Meet-up Wednesday, March 10, 2010, to explore business concerns along University Avenue related to the construction of Central Corridor light rail line. The meet-up will be a forum to voice concerns of University Avenue businesses. The program will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Edgcumbe Community Center, 320 Griggs Street S., St. Paul.
Karri Plowman, Director of Central Corridor and East Metro Partnerships with the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, and Nancy Homans, Policy Director for Mayor Chris Coleman, will speak and respond to issues raised at the program. As construction of the line looms, loss of parking, both temporary and permanent, is one issue. Another is a pending assessment on property owners, both residential and business.
All LWVSP Monthly Meet-ups are free and open to both League members and the public. To RSVP for the meet-up or for more information, please contact Mary Vik at [email protected] or 651-340-7773.
