“You are going to burn in hell, forever!” This is quite an opening line for a work of fiction that is designed to promote an exchange of learning between East and West with attention to the common principles of all religions.
The book, “Second Coming of Da Vinci – Real Lost Symbols of Bible” is from Shambhu Nath, an author who resides in Shakopee, Minnesota. It is self-published by Eshna Publishing at BookSurge and will be released on March 15th to Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
The story surrounds a Hindu boy who converts to Christianity – out of a deep desire to save himself from a hell that is very real to him. Later as a grown man, an incident both creates a conflict and disillusionment with his faith. Making matters worse, this same conflict causes the young Christian convert to stand on the very edge of an abyss that threatens to engulf him: that of losing his faith in Christ – and God Himself.
Nath looks back to 2003 when Dan Brown’s novel, “The Da Vinci Code” sparked a stirring intellectual debate surrounding the historical facts of the Church and Jesus Christ. He recalls the gamut of emotions felt by many faithful that he said were significant at a time when so much was put to question by biblical scholars and scientists alike.
Nath wanted to open a similar debate but on a wider scale that encompasses more religions of the world with Second Coming of Da Vinci – Real Lost Symbols of Bible. He says this “new element” presents a riveting fictional work that provokes profound thought within the highly personalized context and experiences of a single individual.
“This is an ideas-driven, richly textured novel, weaving in and out of Eastern and Western philosophies, connecting the facts revealed for both,” said Nath. “A powerfully moral book, it concerns itself with the choices one makes in life.”
Nath said the novel works on two levels. It has a moving story to satisfy the casual reading, while also proposing facets of deep spirituality as theological curiosities.
Nath said that he wrote the book for readers to identify with a character living during these difficult times – and questions the status quo in a search for true understanding. It is also a search to regain a sense of hope and courage – and an ability to stand up and face personal challenges.
Nath also attempts to touch on the basic questions surrounding God and religion with a decoding of lost symbols – with a goal of inviting the reader to open their hearts to love and to living itself.

Interesting topic, must read, I think when people from various religion is working to divide the world, this may be a big effort to unite them by showing the common grounds among the religion.

Unless I read the book, it is difficult o make any comment. However it is remarkable that writer of Indian origin has made his name in the country, he is not from.
