ST. PAUL, Minn. (March 14, 2011) – The State Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans held its annual Day at the Capitol event Monday, giving organization leaders a chance to present their legislative priorities and for the community to learn about advocacy training and a chance to meet their elected representatives.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (August 18, 2010) – Governor Tim Pawlenty on Wednesday appointed three new Board Members to the State Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans – and also reappointed four other members. The new members include Connie Mei Ledford, Hue Danny Lee, and Tsewang Ngodup, M.D. The reappointed members include Eleasalo “Salo” Ale, Ikram M. Huq, Ananda S. Liyanapathiranage, and Wilfred Tun Baw.

Asian Media Access maintained a weeklong exhibit, WATER (the Way Asians Traveled Experienced Remembered), as a way to illustrate the immigrant experience and its contribution to Minnesota’s Asian culture, legacy and accomplishments.
ST. PAUL (May 3, 2010) – The State Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans held its annual Asian Pacific Heritage Month kickoff celebration at the State Capitol, drawing community leaders and organizations representing many ethnic groups for a Capitol Rotunda Program.
