All proceeds will go the Dragon Boat race. Blue Cross and Blue Shield will have a participation drawing after the race which includes 4 gift certificates from Dick’s Sporting valued from $25-$100.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota developed the do. Campaign to remind all Minnesotans that moderate-intensity physical activity for just 30 minutes on most — preferably all — days of the week will help them live longer, healthier lives. Together with unhealthy eating, physical inactivity is the second-leading cause of preventable death and disease in the United States. It’s directly related to conditions including heart disease, stroke, hypertension, diabetes, colon cancer and osteoporosis.
Register at the do.walk early to ensure you receive your t-shirt on walk day. The pre-registration fee is $15 per adult and $10 per child under the age of 12 and includes a T-shirt. Scholarships may be available for families.
A Prize Drawing will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Dragon Festival. Participants must be present to win.
