I want to thank the thousands of Minnesotans who participated in Republican precinct caucuses.
I’ve been attending precinct caucuses for almost 20 years and appreciate the passion and energy shown by caucus attendees who care deeply about our great state.
This election is about making sure all Minnesotans have an opportunity to succeed. Under Mark Dayton, state government takes too much, spends too much and wastes too much. From his extraordinary lack of leadership around the disastrous launch of MNsure, to enacting more than $2 billion in new taxes, to standing idly by rather than pushing for new jobs on the Iron Range, to spending $90 million on a new office building for legislators, Governor Dayton is failing Minnesotans.
I’m the only candidate who has taken on Governor Dayton and won. In 2011, I said no to his massive tax hikes and Dayton backed down. Now we will take him on once again to begin a renewal of personal opportunity, educational opportunity and entrepreneurial opportunity that will make Minnesota the best place in America to live and work.
This campaign is a marathon, not a sprint. Since announcing our campaign in late June, we have built a strong network across Minnesota. Our committed supporters include more than 4,200 individual donors, more than any of the other GOP campaigns. Every day we’re building a team that will defeat Governor Dayton in November. I’m looking forward to continuing to meet and share ideas with hardworking Minnesotans.
