MINNEAPOLIS — The life of a Lao American woman ended tragically Saturday when she returned into her burning home to save the life of a grandson.
Jenny Soumountha Syonesa, 45, and her K9 friend (NAME AND TYPE OF DOG), died tragically in the fire that burned their Minneapolis home the early morning of July 28, 2012. Three others escaped the blaze, including a boy (WHO REMAINS IN INTENSIVE CARE?), a daughter, Victoria (AGE), and her husband Sonny Syonesa who were hospitalized for smoke inhilation.
Jenny was a manager of Just For U Hair Salon. She was most recently employed at the Magic Beauty School.
Her husband, Sonny Syonesa, is the Lao American film producer of the 2010 feature film “Am I Alone?” and his more recent project, “In3Dragon.” The couple was reportedly preparing to move to open a restaurant in California.
The Family held a candlelight vigil Wednesday with friends, family and neighbors to remember the beloved mother and wife Jenny, and her remarkable life. A funeral service was held Thursday at Washburn-McCreavy Crystal Lake Funeral Chapel.
