MINNEAPOLIS (Sept. 26, 2012) — The Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers will perform their cutting edge timeout routines for fans, as well as cheer on the participants playing in the events at Tokyo’s first ever NBA 3X Japan 2012 this Sunday, September 30.

The event combines a 3-on-3 tournament with free basketball activities, including live music, DJs and NBA entertainment for fans and the entire family. It will take place over two weekends in Diver City, Festival Park, Odaiba in Tokyo, and the new state-of-the-art Xebio Arena, Sendai, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 6 respectively.

“The dancers are excited to represent not only the Timberwolves organization and the NBA, but the state of Minnesota in Tokyo,” said head dance and performance manager Athenia Elie. “We look forward to being a part of a fun-filled fan experience.”

NBA 3X Japan 2012 is designed to provide a robust fan experience celebrating basketball and culture. Along with the Timberwolves Dancers, other free fan activities include a Xebio Slam Dunk contest, Xebio Basketball Clinic, United Airlines 3-Point Shootout, MONSTER 2Ball Challenge and NBA Free Throw Conga.
