MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota chapter of the National Asian Pacific Bar Association, and Theatre Mu of Mu Performing Arts presents “A Man of Bravery: Re-enactment of the Fred Korematsu Arguments” on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015. from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Federal District Court, 15th floor, 300 South Fourth Street, Minneapolis, Chief Judge Tunheim’s Courtroom.
Doors open at 4:30, the play begins at 5 p.m. A social hour will follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The play will be moved to an alternative overflow courtroom should more than 120 attend.
Karen Korematsu will give remarks about her father after the Re-enactment.
The play is the kickoff event for the NAPABA Central Regional Conference, hosted by the Minnesota NAPABA chapter.
The Re-enactment of the arguments before the U. S. Supreme Court and the coram nobis before the U.S. District Court will be performed by Minnesota State and Federal judges and attorneys. The Re-enactment was written by Peter Irons and adapted with his permission by MNAPABA and Rick Shiomi, co-artistic director of Full Circle Theater Company and former artistic director of Mu Performing Arts.
An application for elimination of bias CLE credits will be made.
