ST. PAUL (July 30, 2012) — The Sierra Club North Star Chapter has endorsed Foung Hawj in the upcoming DFL Primary Election on August 14 for Minnesota Senate District 67.
“We believe that Foung’s broad experience, community connections and commitment to environmental justice make him a unique and valuable addition to the Minnesota Senate,” said Ryan Kennedy, Sierra Club Political Chair, “Foung Hawj will be an effective voice for the people of east St. Paul, and we look forward to working with him in the state Senate.”
The primary election will be held statewide on August 14. Senate District 67 includes most of east St. Paul, including the neighborhoods of Battle Creek, Dayton’s Bluff, Greater East Side, Highwood, and significant portions of Payne-Phalen.
