A presentation of current research on Hmong Americans and the Hmong diaspora will be offered from the Hmong Studies Journal on Friday, March 9, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Room 609 of the Social Sciences Building at the University of Minnesota, 267 19th Avenue S., Minneapolis, MN 55455.
Dr. Mark Pfeifer. Hmong American Partnership/Hmong National Development and State University of New York, Institute of Technology, Chair, will speak on “An Overview of the Hmong Studies Journal and Recent Research in Hmong Studies.”
Nancy Herther. University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Libraries, will present “Citation Analysis and Hmong Studies Publications: An Initial Examination.”
Dr. Nengher N. Vang. Gustavus Adolphus College, will discuss “Political Transmigrants: Rethinking Hmong Political Activism in America.”
Dr. Zha Blong Xiong. University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Department of Family Social Science will present his research on “Predicting Hmong Male and Female Youth’s Delinquent Behavior: An Exploratory Study.”
