ST. PAUL, Minn. (Jan. 28, 2011) – Va Yang, Minneapolis, was appointed academic program coordinator in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Metropolitan State University. This is a probationary appointment that started Dec. 8, 2010.
In this position, she is responsible for assisting with the analysis and planning processes for academic programs and course schedules; secondary research analysis and reporting; acting as liaison with community partners regarding academic programs; and coordinating with internal university departments to support academic programs.
Yang previously worked at the University of Minnesota as a peer advisor in the Martin Luther King Jr. program, as a research assistant in the cognitive psychology department, and as a Reads instructor for America Reads. She holds a B.A. in English with a minor in psychology from the University of Minnesota.
