“Knowledge is Power”
Empowering Hmong Women (EHW) will hold it’s Annual Conference on Saturday Sept. 14, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Concordia University, 1282 Concordia Ave St Paul, MN 55104.
The conference is held in cooperation with Concordia University’s Hmong Culture and Language Program. The conference is free and open to the public.
The conference promises to be inspirational as it provides participants with valuable information filled with wisdom and inspiration. Its messages will motivate participants toward action. There will also be a resource fair which will provide participants resources and connect the to many services serving Hmong Women.
The conference keynote speaker is MayKao Y Hang, MA.
Other speakers include Mai See Moua, MD, Kazoua S Kong-Thao, Pang Foua Yang Rhodes, PhD, LMFT
Alyssa K Vang, PsyD, Referee Rebecca Rossow, Ramsey County Judge Gary W. Bastian, Ramsey County Judge Mark Ireland, and attorney R Leigh Frost.
Panel Sessions include a judicial panel on domestic abuse, and other topics include education, parent and child relationships, healthy marriages, and women’s health.
The mission of EHW, Inc.is to educate, inspire, and empower Hmong women for a better future through lifelong learning. It’s vision is to provide resources to transform the lives of Hmong women to achieve their highest potential.
