The Center for Hmong Studies is pleased to announce its 4th International Conference on Hmong Studies. The conference will take place at Concordia University, St. Paul and the banquet at the Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront hotel from March 30 – 31, 2012.
The papers presented at the conference will cover current conditions and forthcoming challenges that question and answer who we are as a people and where we will be in this global economy. Some topics include:
• Transnational Marriage between Hmong-Americans and Hmong-Lao
• What Does it Mean to be Hmong in the Twin Cities, Minnesota According to the 18 Clan Council and Associated Hmong Men and Women Leaders?
• Navigating Multiple Worlds: A Qualitative Study of the Lived Experiences of Nine Hmong American Women Leaders
• Hmong Youth Arts Culture: Affecting Change Through Hip-Hop
