WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 20, 2013) — The White House Office of the Press Secretary reports that President Barack Obama will meet with President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China on June 7-8 in California, at Sunnylands, the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Estate.

This will be President Obama’s first meeting with Xi Jinping since he became China’s President. The two leaders will hold in depth discussions on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global issues. They will review progress and challenges in U.S.-China relations over the past four years and discuss ways to enhance cooperation, while constructively managing the two nation’s differences in the years ahead.

National Security Advisor Tom Donilon will travel to Beijing on May 26-28 to prepare for this meeting.
