The dazzling Peking Acrobats return to Minneapolis’ Orchestra Hall in a single show scheduled for Sunday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m., featuring a brand-new program known as “The Hundred Entertainments.” Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its first North American tour, the ensemble thrills with such daring-do feats as “Jar Juggling,” “In the High Chair,” “Unicycle Tricks,” and much more.
Since their continental debut in 1986, The Peking Acrobats have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics, an art that dates back more than 2,000 years. The ensemble has toured throughout the world and has been featured on numerous television programs including Wide World of Sports and Guinness World Records Primetime.
For their 25th anniversary North American tour, the Acrobats are accompanied by the Women’s Peace Orchestra of China, which plays traditional Chinese instruments in harmony with the Acrobats’ awe-inspiring feats.
