Morris, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2010) – University of Minnesota, Morris students in Beginning Modern Chinese have placed in the 2010 Cheng & Tsui SuperStar Karaoke Contest for Chinese Language Students and Teachers. The students, taught by Nan Gao, teaching specialist in the Division of the Humanities, created videos for their entries. They were top-10 finalists in both the solo and group categories of about 150 entries.
Dia Lee won first place in the solo category singing “All the Things You Never Knew.” The Chinese I class received second place in the group category singing “Tomorrow Will Be Better.”
