Sessions College for Professional Design, premier online college of art and design, is proud to announce that one of its students has been selected as a “Student to Watch” by Graphic Design USA (GD USA).
Kyle Gilbreath is an Associate Degree student at Sessions College. He is recognized in the January 2013 issue of GD USA. GD USA is the nation’s foremost web and print publication for the design industry.
A trusted industry resource, creative and design professionals regularly look to the magazine for their highly anticipated features on new talent. The honor of “Student to Watch” is given just once a year to an elite group of up and coming design professionals.
Prior to his time at Sessions College, Kyle earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While he was able to secure a rewarding position as a nuclear design/analysis engineer for Westinghouse Electric Company, Kyle still had the urge to pursue his true passion of design.
Sessions College gave Kyle the opportunity to obtain a fully comprehensive visual arts education from the comfort of his home. Ultimately Kyle hopes his endeavors at Sessions College will allow him to snag his dream design job with a small startup company, where he can make an impact in many different roles.
“Kyle was nominated because of his outstanding talent, attitude, and work rate – three attributes that any designer should have,” says Robert Pullins, Director of Marketing for Sessions College for Professional Design. “At Sessions College our mission is to prepare design professionals. We do this by emphasizing a career and results driven education, while still maintaining the creative aspect of a design career.
“Educated as a mechanical engineer, Kyle had very limited professional design experience before coming to Sessions,” he added. “A passion for art and design brought Kyle to Sessions College, where he has been busy expanding his creative horizons and building a strong portfolio of work that will aid in the pursuit of the design career of his choice.”
