“Legacy Letters” is a video project with Twin Cities Public Television works to create a series of 1-minute films about personal perspectives on aspects of Minnesota’s history. Jill Mazullo, Legacy Letters project director at 1000 Friends of Minnesota, said they are seeking 200-word essays from interested writers to be considered for inclusion in our video project. View a sample Legacy Letter that is currently airing on TPT’s Minnesota Channel at http://www.1000fom.org/video/sounds-winter.
“We are eager to hear stories large and small that represent Minnesota’s rich and varied history,” said Mazullo. “We would like to reach the Asian American community in the Twin Cities to encourage individuals to participate.”
The call for submissions has already begun and will run through February 4, 2011. Those interested should submit 200-word essays on the slice of Minnesota history that is meaningful to them, and why they want to share it with others.
About 25 essayists will be selected to turn their text into a one-minute video to air on TPT’s Minnesota Channel in between regular programming.
