MINNEAPOLIS — Japan America Society of Minnesota will celebrate Shinnenkai 2015 on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.
Join JASM for this New Year’s celebration featuring colorful entertainment with Taiko Drumming, Japanese traditions such as Mochi Tsuki (rice pounding) and delicious Japanese food. There will also be exhibits with demonstrations of Japanese culture, a JASM market with Japanese items and a Silent Auction. JASM is bringing the sights, tastes, and sounds of a Japanese New Year to Minnesota. This cultural experience will be sure to delight all the members of your family as you take advantage of this opportunity to welcome in the New Year Japanese style.

When: Sunday, January 18th 2015, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Hopkins Eisenhower Community Center. 1001 Minnesota Highway 7, Hopkins, Minnesota 55305
Tickets: $10 Adult Members, College Students, and Seniors. $15 Non-members. $5 Children (6-18 Years). Children 5 and under free. $20 Family Package ($25 for non-members) – 2 adults & 2 children in same household. An additional $2 for registering at the door.
Like most JASM events, the Shinnenkai would not be possible without the support of our wonderful JASM members. We are looking for volunteers and would really appreciate your help in making this year’s Shinnenkai a success. By volunteering, you will receive complimentary admission to the event.
