Welcomes the Year of the Rabbit “Music, Manga & More with a traditional Japanese Shinnenkai celebration Sunday, January 16, 2011, 4:00-8:00 pm at Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Minnesota 7, Hopkins, MN 55305.
The 2011 New Year’s Celebration rings in the year of the Rabbit with Japanese musical and cultural performances; traditional Mochizuki rice pounding, Japanese art, and exhibits by local Japanese related organizations; and the JASM “Oriental Bazaar” offering authentic Japanese goods at a reasonable price. Also to be featured are children’s activities, delicious food and beverages from local Japanese restaurants, and a karaoke competition with prizes. All are welcome to begin the New Year, Japanese Style. Discount tickets can be purchased before January 12th at www.mn-japan.org.
