St. Paul, Minn. (Aug. 21, 2014) — Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health has a walk-in clinic to help families get ready for new immunization requirements that take effect Sept. 1, 2014, for schools, child care, and early childhood programs.
New requirements this year include Tdap and meningitis vaccine for those children entering 7th grade, Hepatitis A vaccine for children over 12 months attending child care or early childhood programs and Hepatitis B vaccine for children over 2 months attending child care or early childhood programs.
Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health urges families to contact their regular clinics to get immunized to meet the new requirements. Families without insurance, or whose insurance does not cover immunizations, can get low-cost immunizations for infants, children and adults at Saint Paul – Ramsey County Public Health’s clinic located at 555 Cedar Street in Saint Paul. The clinics, which are on a first-come, first-served basis, are open during the following days and times: Tuesdays, 1 – 4 p.m.; Wednesdays, 8:30 – 11 a.m., and 2 – 4 p.m.; Thursdays, 4 – 7 p.m.
