SHAKOPEE, Minn., (Aug. 13, 2015) – King Henry invites Mall of America guests to the Royal Court (or Rotunda) to preview the 45th Annual of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. One and all are encouraged to transport back in time to a 16th centuryEuropean Village which brings festive sights and sounds to your attention.
Marvel at the Black Isle Belly Dancers at 12:30 p.m. as they perform a new dynamic of music and dance elements and at 2 pm listen to the harmonious sounds of the Court Revelers as they sing the King’s favorite songs. Guests can enjoy a comedic show from the Wise Fools Improv at 4:30 p.m. and get in on the fun as Pizpor the Magician entertains all ages with his mystical magic show at noon. Aside from the live entertainment on stage, patrons will also be able to take photos with some of their favorite characters, purchase discount tickets and enter to win tickets to the Renaissance Festival.
Kids can indulge in free arts and crafts by making a unique wand and decorating Renaissance coloring sheets in the Children’s Realm. Live entertainers will interact with all guests throughout the day to ensure a fun, family-friendly day of Renaissance festivities that will give patrons a teaser of the Festival before it opens.
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival 45th season begins on Saturday, Aug. 22 and ends on Oct. 4, 2015. The Festival is open weekends; Labor Day and Festival Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine. The Festival is located seven miles south of Shakopee on Hwy 169.
Festival patrons can enjoy 16 stages of live entertainment, 250 artisan vendors and 7 theme weekends, full combat jousting and food fit for a king.
