|Japanese Lantern Lighting Festival at Como Park
Sunday, August 23rd, 2015
The Lantern Lighting Festival, the largest Japan-related festival in Minnesota, takes place in Como Park every August. Modeled after summer festivals held across Japan, it features stage performances, cultural demonstrations, activities, and, of course, Japanese food.
The Como Park Lantern Lighting Festival provides an array of Japanese traditions and fun for the whole family.
A collaborative effort between JASM, Como Park, and the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee (SPNSCC), the Lantern Lighting Festival is a chance for JASM to reach out to the community and directly promote cultural exchange.
As you know, the Lantern Lighting Festival is coming up on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015. We would like to have about 30 volunteers to help us with the six different booths. Listed below are the different booths, the shifts that we are offering.
