India Association of Minnesota is currently seeking nominations for its 2011 Annual Achievement Award. Candidates may be nominated under one or more of the categories: Dedicated service to the community; Excellence or innovation in the arts; and, Special contribution in leadership and mentoring.
The Achievement Award is intended to recognize individuals and organizations for achieving excellence in their fields, promoting the interests of the Asian-Indian community in Minnesota, and advancing understanding between the Indian community and the community at large.
The IAM Annual Achievement Award will be presented during the Connect India 2011 event (formerly known as IAM Annual Dinner) on March 12, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Bloomington. The Award includes a citation and a plaque.
Past IAM Annual Achievement Award winners include: Ram Krishnan, Sarat Mohapatra, Vasant Sukhatme, Fred Sam de Lazaro, Ram Gada, Ranee Ramaswamy, Nirmala Rajasekar, Dr. S.K Dash, Sudhansu Misra and School of India for Languages and Culture.
