MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 4, 2014) — There’s something amazing happening on Central Avenue NE, and on Saturday Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can be a part of it at the Central Avenue House Warming Party.
The public is invited to join the many fabulous new and established businesses on Central Ave in celebrating the completion of the North East Investment Cooperative’s block-transforming project at 2504-2506 Central. Stop in at all those cool Northeast places you swore to check out next weekend – because we checked our calendars, and on Saturday November 15th you’re all out of excuses.
To celebrate and welcome the newly transformed Central Corridor we’re making November 15th a day to explore events and win prizes from some of the businesses working hard to make this little stretch of the city their own. Check out all of the events at incredible local businesses on the Central Corridor, listen to live music from 1 to 3 p.m. at Recovery Bike Shop, and enter to win fabulous prizes around the neighborhood just by doing what you always do: supporting your favorite community minded local businesses.
For one day only participating businesses will hand out a complimentary door-prize ticket with every $20 spent to be used on incredible items at Aki’s Breadhaus, Fair State Brewing Cooperative, Recovery Bike Shop, Eastside Food Co-Op, Sen Yai Sen Lek, The Northeast Investment Cooperative, and The Minnesota Cycling Museum. Each business will house their own door-prizes, so make sure to walk around and visit all of them. You could win a growler from Fair State with your Eastside groceries or a bike from Recovery with your lunch at Sen Yai.
At 5:30 p.m. the festivities and prizes will be moved to Fair State Brewing Cooperative for any last minute entries, and at 6 p.m. we will announce the winners. Entry to all participating businesses and prize drawing is completely free.
Like we said before – on November 15 you’re out of excuses, so join us at the Central Avenue House Warming Party! Prizes will be awarded at 6 p.m., but the festivities go on all day.
