ST. PAUL (Jan. 3, 2014) — Governor Mark Dayton last week appointed and re-appointed Board Members the State Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans.
Hoeun Hach of Oakdale was named a board member effective Jan. 8, 2014, with a term expiring on Jan. 4, 2016.
George Thaw Moo of St. Paul, was named a board member effective Jan. 8, with a term expiring Jan. 1, 2018.
Melissa Kwon of St. Paul was named a board member effective Jan. 8, with a term expiting Jan. 2, 2017.
The re-appointees include Dr. Tsewang Ngodup of Bloomington, the Tibetan member; and A.S. Liyanapathiranage, the Sri Lankan member.
Adeel Lari of Burnsville, and the Pakistani member, was a multi-term member and past board president. He was a non-voting member in his most recent until his re-appointment with full voting rights on Jan. 8, with a term expiring on Jan. 1, 2018.
Connie Mei Ledford, the Malaysian member, completed her term in January and is not-returning.
Ongoing board members include Hue Danny Lee; Mukhtar Thakur; T. Nhon Tran; Elsa Batica; Julayne Lee; Priya Vanessa Outar; Shivanthi Sathanandan; Shanti Shah; Hedy Tripp; and non-voting Legislative Appointees Sen. David Senjem; Rep. Ron Hamilton; and Rep. Joe Mullery.
