A three-week Spiritual Journey to Korea, including visits to many holy and historical sites in Korea such as the DMZ, Mt. Jiri, Bulkuksa, Juldusan, foreign missionaries cemetery, will run from July 26 through Aug. 18, 2012. Adult adoptee participants will home-stay with Korean Christian families in five cities, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Jeonju and Jiri San.

Dr. Park’s work with Korean immigrants helps individuals and family’s cope with and deal with the every day stress of life. As a psychologist, Korean immigrants and/or Koreans in Minnesota, obtain services towards obtaining increased mental health and building a healthy cultural identity as well.

Music is a universal language that brings people, thoughts, and feelings together. That’s the idea behind the a Special Children’s Choir, a Korean-Amercan/Adoptee Children’s/Youth’s Choir in Minnesota.

“Eating and music are cultural language. Through music and food, we can share our culture,” said Joshua Kim, Founder of Culture in Motion, which hosted a benefit for the Special Children’s Choir.

Minneapolis based nonprofit AdopSource will host its second annual Minnesota Transracial Film Festival (MNTRFF 2010) on November 6 and 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Main Theatre, SE 115 Main Street, Minneapolis. The festival will showcase the talents of five different female filmmakers who all focus their work on various aspects and origins of transracial adoption. Each of the films offers a poignant, deep and sometimes painful examination of various aspects of transracial adoption. The individuals and families living the transracial experience are illuminated and provided with a safe place to share their experiences.
