First Pages: The Fine Print – How Do I Get Published?
Saturday, April 9, 11 a.m. at Augsburg Park Library
Registration required; began March 12; limit 20. Practical information for increasing your chances of getting published. Get answers to important questions and guidance on the research that needs to be done to understand the publishing process.
This project is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Presented in collaboration with the Loft Literary Center.

How do theatre professionals do pratfalls? How can you ramp up your creativity? What are the secrets of compelling storytelling? Why is Shakespeare considered the greatest writer in the English language? Kids and teens can learn all of this and more from Guthrie Theater professionals at 74 free classes scheduled March-June at Hennepin County libraries.
Students, including adult students, can receive free homework assistance at several Hennepin County libraries and online. Anyone can access “Homework Rescue,” which provides one-to-one homework help in English and Spanish 1-11 p.m. seven days a week at http://www.hclib.org/pub/info/homework.cfm.
