White Bear Lake, Minn. (May 6, 2010) – Century College honored 36 of its top students at the annual Outstanding Student ceremony on April 30.

Each Outstanding Student gave some remarks after accepting the award, and a faculty member from the department or program also spoke.

Study: Quality of instruction matters most with ELL

Towson, MD (May 4, 2010) – A new study by researchers at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Research and Reform in Education could change the way schools in the United States teach non-native speakers to read and speak in English. The traditional argument surrounding the instruction of English-language learners has been whether English immersion or bilingual approaches work the best. But the Johns Hopkins study is poised to make that debate irrelevant.
