By Dan Danner

There are few moments when American small-business owners regret taking the leap to start their own enterprises, but April’s tax-filing period ranks high among them. These entrepreneurs understand the need to pay taxes and they respect the rule of law. What frustrates and frightens them are the never-ending federal threats that could wipe out everything they’ve worked for.

Over the course of three days – March 26, 27, 28 – the constitutionality of President Obama’s radical health reform law will be debated by the U.S. Supreme Court. Forced into a historic high court review by the National Federation of Independent Business and 26 states, the law is one of the greatest government threats ever to face small-business owners.

Don’t Rush to Pass the Amendment to Eliminate Same-Day Registration

No Comments 24 March 2012

St. Paul, Minn. (March 21, 2012) — Secretary of State Ritchie today asked members of the Minnesota Senate not to be pressured by the House of Representatives’ rush to pass the Constitutional Amendment that would eliminate Minnesota’s 40 year old system of same-day registration.

“Putting an amendment on the Constitution is serious business that should only be done through a very thoughtful and thorough process. Our state’s Constitution is far too important to be amended on a partisan basis,” said Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.  “Instead of rushing to pass this amendment, they should give due consideration to the non-partisan, cost-effective alternative that would make it simple to visually verify voters without the need to amend the Constitution.”

Germantown, MD (March 16, 2012) — It’s time to fight fire with fire after Rush Limbaugh (RL) unfairly attacked Sandra Fluke, a law student at Georgetown University by calling her a slut, prostitute, round-heeled (a woman who sleeps with a lot of different men; it comes from the image of being on your back in the missionary position” of lovemaking) and promiscuous for defending the rights of a woman to make decisions regarding her body and its functions. His pontifications from the bully pulpit are all lies to hide his doubts about his own virility and masculinity.
