The University Avenue Business Association is holding a public meeting Thursday, April 15, from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. at the Model Cities Brownstone Meeting Room, 849 University Avenue, St. Paul (at Victoria). The event will being with a networking session, including free coffee and donuts, followed by an 8:00 a.m. program that will include small business marketing and Metropolitan Council updates on related issues including Central Corridor light rail information.On the topic of “Plan, Partner, Prosper: Are you ready for Light Rail Construction and a Prosperous Future on University Avenue?” University Avenue Business Preparation Collaborative (U7) staff will have a presentation on helping small businesses prepare for the light rail transit line, to include progress on available resources to assist businesses.
Metropolitan Council staff will be present to talk about what businesses can expect from construction and what the Central Corridor Project Office and its contractors will be doing to minimize impacts.
Event sponsors include Platinum: Hamline University School of Business, the City of Saint Paul and City of Minneapolis and Silver: Update Company.

The first annual UABA Fundraiser will be held the afternoon of Saturday, May 22, with event details to be announced soon.
