US-China Business Connections group presents a free Sourcing Subgroup Meeting, May18, 2011, 7:30 a.m. at the McNamara Center at Dunwoody College, 818 Dunwoody Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55403.
The Topic will be Product Sourcing in China and feature guest presenter Joan Brzezinski of the Confusious Institute. The presentation will last for one hour followed by a half hour networking and post discussion.
The meeting was inspired by the April event, where the speaker emphasized the importance of good distribution strategies to U.S products in China by producing in China and sourcing from the Chinese manufacturers. The strategy allows Chine to provide work to their people with is a clear priority inside China.
UCBC will initiate the Product Sourcing Sub-Group to address and evaluate options. The Sub-Group will be a roundtable forum with the expectation that people attending will become fully involved with the topic and held direct the discussion.
A second meeting will be held on June 15, 2011. The first two sessions will focus on the subtle, but important role that cultural nuance plays regarding business success in China.
The target audience for the Sub-Group meetings are companies presently sourcing product from China; help us learn from your experience; companies that may not currently be sourcing from China but who have interest; and companies that want to entertain the idea of producing your product in China for distribution in China.
