US China Business Connections will hold its next monthly breakfast networking meeting Dec. 5, 2012, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Opus Hall at the University of St. Thomas — Minneapolis Campus.
Look for Room MOH 201 on the second floor across from the security desk. Park in the 10th St. & Hennepin Ramp and take the elevator to the second floor.
Presenters Larry Mahoney, President of Asia Direct Resource and Warren Vollmar , CEO of American Authentic and The R O I Group, will present on the topic “The China Trade Route: An Exit or Entrance Ramp?”
Travel on the Silk Road between the U.S. and China has been rather bumpy lately. Branding of China telecom companies Huawei and ZTE as security threats and blocking operations in Washington has been the most notable pothole affecting trade.
There have been many smaller situations. But the heads of government in both China and the United States have just changed. The speakers will discuss what impact this will have on trade, and what possible roadblocks will affect economic recovery. They will discuss the beginning of a new expressway to greater exports, investment and other trade.
The event is free to members and students. Non-members pay $25 and first-time guests just $10.
Get a $5.00 parking voucher at the registration table. There are two participating ramps, the 10th St. & Hennepin (Hennepin just North of 10th St) Best Choice, or the 11th St. & Harmon Place (Enter on 11th and Harmon).
Park, note Floor Level and location (# on a Pole), and bring your ticket to the meeting for a $5.00 voucher.
Take Elevator to the Skyway Level and follow the signs to the meeting room.
